Willandra House B & B
Willandra House Bed & Breakfast in Dural, Sydney, is situated at the end of a 250 metre tree lined drive on 5 acres of landscaped gardens with huge stands of mature native trees, beautiful garden beds and a superb lake all of which attract the many and varied native bird species to amuse you with their song and antics.

Guests at Willandra House may like to stroll through the grounds, or sit in a shady nook overlooking the lake or curl up on a comfy leather lounge in front of a roaring fire. Do as much or as little as you like the choice is yours.

Willandra House Bed & Breakfast is only a short distance to the unspoiled village of Dural with its many craft and antique shops, art galleries, restaurants and superb garden centres including Swanes renowned for its sensational rose gardens just a four minute drive away.

The comfort of our guests both in your room and throughout the house is lavish yet homely, combining quality and country.

It is located ideally, only 45 minutes from the Sydney Harbour Bridge, yet right in the country. We have nine horses on the one side and about the same number of heffers on the other. At home we have only two animals both Great Danes, brother and sister currently residing in one of the horse stables on the property.

Within cycle distance, we have Dural village with its many shops, galleries, cafes and Arts & Crafts, a golf driving range, a country club boasting some of the best acts available in Australia as well as good food and convivial atmosphere, the cocktail bar with its resident piano player being very popular around sundown. Jazz in the Hills most Sunday afternoons just three minutes away by car or Fagans Park just 5 kms away, an area of 55 hectares with gardens featured from all over the world, numerous lakes for model boats and acres of lawns, an ideal picnic spot which is known to a very few.

Berowra Waters offers an excellent meal on the water side or take a half hour drive to Wisemans Ferry along the Old North Road built by convicts where you can enjoy a game of golf along side the Hawkesbury River or dine alfresco in an excellent waterside café, with the old pub being well worth a visit featuring live artists most summer weekends

In the other direction within a half hours country drive you again reach the Hawkesbury River at the historic town of Windsor, steeped in history and totally unspoiled. Stay a while and soak up the history or take a leisurely cruise down the river. Stop at Cattai National Park on the way back and visit the old homestead that once belonged to Thomas Arndell the assistant physician on the first fleet
and home to the Arndells for seven generations.

However if you choose to spend your time at Willandra House you are assured of a peaceful relaxing holiday in luxurious comfort enhanced by attention to detail, personal touches and country hospitality.

Whether choosing to swim in our crystal clear heated pool or relaxing in the spa, taking a cycle ride on our mountain bikes, having a go at Archery the sport of kings or power walking around our lake you can do as much or as little as you like. A game of billiards or darts, a quiet game of cards or curled up with a book in the lounge or garden. Catch up on letter writing, an office is provided for your use with phone, fax and e-mail facilities.

If you're feeling young at heart and a little adventurous talk to Steve about a ride on his Harley Davidson motor cycle. He can usually be persuaded to head off for an hour or two for a reasonable fee, with notice he can also arrange a friend to take your partner. It's all country road riding and a real pleasure with occasional good views of the Blue Mountains.
